Parents' Advisory Group
In 2006, The Minister for Children and Young People, Maria Eagle, launched the OFMDFM Ten Year Strategy for Children and Young People. This is designed to improve the lives of all children and young people living in Northern Ireland.
One of the monitoring mechanisms for the implementation of the Strategy is a Parents' Advisory Group. This body provides feedback on plans and actions that government departments intend to undertake.

The Parenting Forum Northern Ireland (PFNI) invited nominations from parent representatives to form the Parents' Advisory Group. Parents throughout Northern Ireland, in both rural and urban areas, and from all backgrounds, are represented on the panel. It is intended that new opportunities for parents to join this group will be available in the future. |
