Introduction to Volunteering
Parents Advice Centre (PAC) has opportunities for Helpline Volunteers across Northern Ireland - with branches in Ballymena, Belfast, Derry and Dungannon. Helpline Volunteers are usually trained, and based, in the branch most convenient to them.
Volunteering for PAC is rewarding and challenging. Helpline Volunteers are offered the opportunity to:
- develop knowledge and skills which enhance their personal, family and professional life
- have their learning and development recognised through accreditation
- undertake varied and challenging work with a wide range of clients, in a well-structured and supported work environment
- enjoy social activities and develop friendships
- use their own professional / personal experience to help parents and to safeguard children
“I find volunteering for PAC immensely rewarding. I not only get a sense of personal satisfaction from helping others, but feel appreciated and a valuable member of the Helpline team”
- Pauline
